In contrast to the Opel Corsa OPC, which was launched a few months ago, the new GSi radiates subtle sportiness rather than uncompromising high-performance, and will be unveiled at the Barcelona Motor Show (June 7 - 17, 2007). The GSi’s powerful 1.6 ECOTEC turbo engine produces 110 kW/150 hp at 5000 rpm, positioning the new sporty model between the Corsa Sport 1.7 CDTI (125 hp) and the high-performance Corsa OPC (192 hp). |

Abarth & C. S.p.A., with Chief Executive Officer Luca De Meo at the helm, has been reorganised into three activity areas. Business Operations, under Antonino Labate, will be occupied in defining products and services for aesthetic (car kitting) and performance (car tuning) personalisation of production sports cars, organising the sales and service network, and managing Abarth brand merchandising and licensing activities. Engineering & Manufacturing Operations, under Paolo Ollino, will be concerned with technical development, production and technical preparation and service activities for racing cars, guaranteeing the development of products for car kitting and tuning, and working in synergy and cooperation with the Engineering and Design Department of Fiat Group Automobiles. |

Following its launch at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, a fleet of three BMW Hydrogen 7s will, tomorrow (5 June 2007), take part in the Revolve Brighton to London rally for low and zero-emission cars. Starting on Madeira Drive in Brighton, the fleet of Hydrogen 7s will follow a pre-planned route ending at Trafalgar Square in London.During the course of the event, HRH The Prince of Wales, a Government Minister, the Deputy Mayor of London, Nicky Gavron and a number of other dignitaries will be introduced to the world’s first hydrogen-powered emissions-free luxury saloon car. Following the rally, the BMW Hydrogen 7 will take pride of place in a display of the participating cars at the London Science Museum. |
