Dine in luxury while your car is being converted When it comes to tuning your car, things can't be done quick enough for most people. So at AC Schnitzer in Aachen, almost all vehicle conversions can be completed within a day. And the best thing of all: the waiting time passes comfortably and entertainingly in the AC Schnitzer world and the in-house gourmet restaurant "kohlibri". While the car rolls into the workshop in the morning, the customers can start the day in the cafeteria with freshly brewed coffee and buttery croissants. Then there's the whole experience of the AC Schnitzer world to discover. Here there is not just a vast array of exciting new and used cars to look at, but also themed shops for BMW and Mini and countless boutiques – for example Bang & Olufsen and Harley Davidson. And shopping makes you hungry, so AC Schnitzer recommends a visit to its own penthouse restaurant "kohlibri", where Restaurant Director Norbert Mahlberg presents everything you could want for lunch. While the panorama glass lift takes guests up, technicians are still working flat out on the vehicle. |

Volkswagen Scirocco Scirocco is the sports car for every day of the year- Design with wagon-coupé roof offers surprising amount of interior space
- All-round characteristics of the Scirocco enable multivariable use
- Scirocco is the first sports car with transverse mounted 7-speed DSG
The designers of the third generation of the Scirocco unmistakably designed it to be a pure sports car. Different than the original Scirocco of the 1970s, and the second generation introduced in the 1980s, the new car offers substantially greater interior space. That is because – in contrast to its two predecessors – the Scirocco of the year 2008 does not have a sloping hatchback, but a wagon back with matching long roof and steep tailgate. This offers two distinct advantages. First: the Scirocco exhibits very crisp proportions. Especially when viewed from the rear, it immediately becomes apparent that the 1.80 meter long roof with its lateral arrays of windows stands on very wide and powerful shoulder sections. So the Scirocco gets a waist that is flawlessly cut right from sports car principles. Second: The new model also has space in the rear for two adults plus sufficient luggage. All things considered, the progressively styled Scirocco combines a high level of everyday utility with a classy design. |

Ninja power for cool cars Hanzo, the armourer from the Quentin Tarantino film, “Kill Bill”, named after the legendary Ninja fighter, Hattori Hanzo, from the 16th century, actually never intended to forge another sword. But, in the end, he did after all, and fate took its course. Of course, at DOTZ, they do not necessarily need to be persuaded first to produce extravagant tuning rims. In any case, the new Hanzo DOTZ rim is just as sharp as the blades of the great Japanese armourer. And after being installed, it plays a heroic main role, without hiding cowardly between the tyre rubber. |

ABT Q7 Powerful and fast – the SUVs featuring the 3.0 TDI with power upgrade The three liter diesel engine by the Volkswagen group is exactly the right engine for the Touareg and the Q7; the torquey engine gives the elegant 2.5-ton SUVs great momentum. Even more so with Power S by ABT Sportsline, as Power S increases the diesel’s performance from serial 225hp/165kW (Touareg) and 233hp/171kW (Q7) to impressive 300hp/221kW. This plus in power of more than 30% also affects the torque; instead of serial 500Nm, now 600Nm provide for enormous thrust. ABT AS7 and ABT Touareg 3.0 TDI have enough power reserves at any time, and the 300hp of the diesel perform very well even in the low rpm-range: from 0 to 100km/h in 8.2 seconds (Touareg) and 8.5 seconds (AS7) – these Allgäu SUVs are not only strong athletes but also good sprinters. The top speed is 214km/h (Touareg) and 222km/h (AS7). |
