The RS 125 is the undisputed leader among 125 cc supersports. Aprilia has always led the field in lightweight sports bikes, pioneering new concepts and advanced solutions, and developing technology that others have had to struggle to follow. Like all Aprilia sports motorcycles, the RS 125 has benefited from the sophisticated technology that has been developed over years of success in GP racing, and quickly transferred into production. Over the years, the RS 125 has forged a reputation as the standard setter for sports 125’s. Sales success has come naturally too, with the RS 125 topping the sales tables on all European markets. The RS 125 is the inevitable choice of riders entering Sport Production racing. And rightly so, because when the competition gets tough, there is simply no other bike like the Aprilia RS 125. Victory in competition is the evolutionary force driving the changes to the model year 2008 Aprilia RXV 4.5/5.5. Experience in last year’s Enduro World Championship, in which Aprilia Racing did so well, plus valuable input from team ace and four times world champion Stefan Merriman, has guided Aprilia’s designers and engineers in transferring developments first made in the field directly into series production. Everybody involved with the RXV has worked hard and in close co-operation to introduce a number of major improvements compared to last year’s motorcycle, making this year’s model even more “race ready”, and better able to deliver complete satisfaction to demanding amateur and professional riders.
DESIGN: DETAILS COUNT As with all Aprilias, a tremendous amount of care and attention has been lavished on even the smallest details on the RXV. As a result the RXV boasts a unique, unmistakable styling that is nevertheless fully functional in achieving the sort of unrivalled performance that a genuine competition motorcycle demands. |
