KTM factory rider Bernd Hiemer improved from a ninth finish in the first race to sixth in the second of the Supermoto Grand Prix of France at Villars sous Ecot on Sunday to finish in overall sixth place for a confidence-boosting 27 championship points. After a slower start than planned to the season, the German title defender said his performance this weekend was a confidence booster although he still was not as comfortable on the offroad sector as on the asphalt. French riders dominated the event, taking the five places in front of Hiemer. |
